Dyad Consultation
Dyad Consultation Service
The Collective Partners of EAC are offering to support, strengthen, and safeguard the ethical integrity of the Malaysian psychology profession. This peer support initiative was created in response to the systemic gaps in current ethics oversight and processes.
We aim to offer a safe space — confidential, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed peer support for professionals navigating ethical issues in Malaysia. While we do not provide therapy, we offer a steady, respectful, and values-based space where professionals can share, reflect, and consider their next steps without being dismissed, shamed, or pressured.
We are not a formal complaints body, nor a substitute for formal processes. Instead, we are a bridge of support helping professionals in the Psychology field who may feel alone, silenced, or uncertain, find clarity, courage, and ethical direction.
Who We’re For
Counsellors, psychologists, trainees, supervisors, educators, researchers — any psychology professional in the Malaysian mental health field who is:
- Navigating harm caused by any persons, groups, or organizations
- Noticing questionable behaviours of other professionals
- Worried about the risks of speaking up or “rocking the boat”
- Unclear about whether or how to file a report or complaint
- Seeking connection, validation, or direction from peers who understand
What We Offer
Confidential Peer Support (Professionals Only)
A safe space to raise concerns about professional relationships. We listen, support, and help you find your footing using a trauma-informed approach. This is not legal advice, therapy, or investigation.
Ethics Guidance & Documentation Support
Help thinking through the ethical dimensions of your experience, plus advice on documentation, timelines, and preparations for filing a report to the relevant bodies.
What We Don’t Do
While we are deeply committed to supporting the ethical integrity of the Malaysian mental health profession, EAC is not a regulatory or investigative body. We:
- Do not accept or channel formal complaints. We are not a substitute for LKM, MSCP, MAHPC, MABA, PSIMA, or any statutory body.
- Do not act as investigators or mediators.
- Do not offer legal advice.
- Do not offer services to the public at large — solely for professionals in the mental health field.
- Do not promise anonymity when the risk of harm is disclosed.
- Do not name individuals or organisations publicly without consent and caution.
- Do not provide therapy or trauma treatment.
Step-by-Step Guide for Those Seeking Support
- Complete the consultation request form (linked below), with who is seeking support, contact details, and a brief description of the issue.
- You will receive a response, and two Partners from the Collective will be assigned to you.
- The session is a private, non-judgmental, trauma-informed space to explore the issue and seek guidance.
- Where needed, your concern may be discussed in de-identified form with the wider Collective for peer consultation — we will inform you about this process at the outset.
- You will be recontacted for a follow-up to discuss next steps, which may include documentation tips, reporting pathways, or an action plan.
Why We’re Doing This
None of us should navigate ethical harm alone, especially when the harm occurs within a profession that seeks not to harm others. We offer this support service because we’ve lived it ourselves.
This is our action-based response as an Ethics in Action Collective. Instead of waiting for a system-wide change, we’re building the kind of support system we wish had existed for us — one rooted in safety, integrity, community, and ethical courage.
If you’ve ever felt unsafe, silenced, or unsure about what to do when something “felt wrong” — we want you to know: you are not alone.
